Updates, Updates

My excuse for never updating is that I don't think to do it at home when I have access to pictures and I don't have access to pictures when I'm at work and think to update... so here's an update without photos -- maybe I'll get to those eventually.

So -- Emily finished grade 3 with a great report card. She got her first pair of glasses - she doesn't have to wear them all the time yet - mainly for tv/reading. She picked the frames out all on her own and while they're not my first choice, she's very happy with them (obviously pics here would be good :)). We had an eventful trip to Tennessee including a missing cell phone and lost credit card but in the end it all worked out. Emily did a great job and had a really fun time. The rules on how her hair has to be styled are really quite strict so the day after we arrived home from the competition she got a major hair cut (again, pics here would be good!). It's the shortest I think she's ever had it since she actually grew hair... it's great for summer and I'm sure it will be grown out before too long.

Hawaii was WONDERFUL(another spot where you could really benefit from pictures!). The people were extremely friendly and the whole trip was exactly what we wanted it to be -- I could have stayed a little longer I think! It was good to come home and get back into a routine but vacation rocks.

Summer continues on -- time at the pool, yard work and other assorted activities. Emily started her gymnastics class and seems to really like it but there's no stopping the dancing bug in that child -- her feet never stop moving and she's already making plans for the upcoming dance season... good times, good times! At least she keeps us busy and provides a constant source of entertainment!
