Ok, yes Chris, I was a little busy over the past few months and have kind of neglected the blog... thanks for picking up the ball and running with it... what the heck took you so long???This is primarily a post to add pictures for the updates Chris kindly provided in the previous post -- Niagara Falls (American) from the boat. Emily and I stopped on our way to visit my friend Jodi -- we had a great time, but man was it HOT. The mist from the falls felt great!
Em lost her first top tooth earlier this summer -- it's very creepy but she sure loves the Tooth Fairy. If I thought it was creepy that she was missing one tooth on top, 2 is definitely worse! The huge gaping hole in her face is very strange looking, but again, a visit from the Tooth Fairy and all is right with the world. Luckily both of the adult teeth are coming in quite quickly -- about 1/2 way in already so maybe by Christmas she won't have to ask Santa for her two front teeth!
While we were in Canada we went to Santa's summer home where Emily got to be an Elf for a Day -- fun times all 'round!
Softball was a little tough going in the beginning but she's really got the hang of it now and is doing really well -- she continues to get lots of hits and is learning that the run from 1st to 2nd base really isn't as far as it seems!! There are more pictures to post from her games but they didn't make it in to work with me today -- maybe next time...
We're also well into 2nd grade now -- homework every night, but not on Friday's -- whew! She's getting good grades and seems to really enjoy it. Life is good.
