Someone's been slacking---JEN!

Guess I'm going to have to take this thing over because someone has not been doing their job. 7 weeks between postings is just wrong. Here are the highlights, in no particular order.

-Jen and Emily went to Canada to visit one of Jen's high school friends and got a flat tire on the return trip about 1.5 hours from home. Guess we should have actually purchased the AAA membership like we discussed just before they left.

-Emily has started 2nd grade and already complains about it. I'm going to wait until about half way through the year and tell her that if she goes to college, she has at least 14 years of school left. I'd say at least I'm done, but I'm thinking of going back for my Masters next year.

-Jen's dad came to visit for about 4 weeks. That is always fun, thanks for everything Rajib!

-Emily started playing a sport for the first time--SOFTBALL, despite my efforts to get her to follow in the Neelans Family tradition of playing soccer. She has no interest because it requires too much running. Maybe that is why for the first few times, she had to make a pit stop running between 1st and 2nd base-Whew, that is such a long run dad--what is it, 30 feet? Anyway, Coach Chris (dad), is very proud of her because he didn't think that she really had the skill to do as well as she has, so soon. I think she has been up to bat 8 or 9 times and hit the ball every time. This past week she has made some great plays at Pitcher and 1st base. Playing catcher like her dad didn't go as smoothly.

-I took a new job as an Export Coordinator. In short, I ship paint products and raw materials to other countries. Not super exciting, but I like it, it is closer to home--30 miles round trip vs. 70 miles round trip, that I was driving and of course the money is better.

-Emily is still a dancing queen. She will be competing in Jazz and Tap this season. I can't wait for the bills to start rolling in for this or for the swell sounds of Stepp Stewart and the Dynamite competions. YEE HAW!! I think I have to have my spleen taken out that weekend.

Well, I didn't think that I had much to say, but look at what I've done. Maybe this will inspire my lovely wife into action. Love you dear!!!!
